who we are

Eve Poole

EVE POOLE is one of the founders of the Foundation for Workplace Spirituality. Eve is Deputy Director of the Ashridge Public Leadership Centre at Ashridge Business School in Hertfordshire, where she teaches and researches in leadership in public service. She is also studying part-time for a PhD in capitalism and theology at Cambridge University.

Eve's career started in the Church Commissioners for England, following a theology degree at Durham University. She then took her MBA from Edinburgh University and joined Deloitte as a Change Management consultant. She moved to Ashridge in 2002 and is an Associate at a number of other business schools. Eve is also a Trustee of the Christian Association of Business Executives and of the Foundation for Church Leadership.

Eve is particularly interested in the interplay between spirituality and ethics, spirituality and leadership, and in the spirituality of the world's religions. Through her PhD research she is seeking to identify ways in which spirituality can breathe new life into the world's economies and inspire sustainability, now that globalisation and the internet has made our interconnectedness and fragility more explicit.
